Add a project

Adding the project details

- Click on ‘My Organisation’s Projects’ Icon. You can only see this icon if you signed up for a ‘project planner’ account.

- Click the top left + button, ‘Add new project’.

Fill in the project summary details.

You will need to fill in:

project name
project reference (from your organisation – please note this reference needs to be unique otherwise the project won’t save)
start and end date of your project
the contact name, phone number and email address
the project type
infrastructure type
a brief description of the project.

Now, click either ‘create project with stages’ or ‘create project’

Create project with stages: if you have a project with several different stages to it, each requiring their own start and end dates and project boundaries, select this option.
Create project: if your project is simple and only has one start and end date, select this option.
Note 1: If you select ‘create project’ and decide you need to add stages later, you can add them afterwards
Note 2: You can add multiple project boundaries within the ‘create project’ function, they will just have the same start and end date.

Once you have filled in project details, click ‘create project with stages’.

Fill in the start and end date
Filling in the stage description isn’t mandatory but is helpful
To add the stage boundary/polygon, click the drawing tool in the top left corner of the map.
Click once on the map to begin drawing at the point you have clicked on, and then click along the shape you want to draw.
Each click will create a movable point which can be dragged in any direction.
Double click to close the shape.
To edit the shape, click on the edit button. Drag the movable points (white boxes) to where you want them to be. To commit the changes, click ‘save’.
To delete the shape, click on the delete button. To commit the changes, click ‘save’.

If your stage has traffic impacts:

Add them by clicking ‘add row’ and selecting the impact and the time of effect.
To commit the impact, click ‘save project’.
To delete the impact, click on the trash can icon next to the impact.

Click save. This will save the project and the first stage in the FWV.

To add additional stages to your project, find the project you just created in ‘My Organisation’s Projects’ tab. Click on it, then click on the ‘stages’ tab. Click ‘add stage’ and follow the instructions.

Create project (with no stages)

Once you have filled in project details, click ‘create project’.

To add the project boundary/polygon, click the drawing tool in the top left corner of the map.

Click once on the map to begin drawing at the point you have clicked on, and then click along the shape you want to draw.

Double click to close the shape.
To edit the shape, click on the edit button. Drag the movable points (white boxes) to where you want them to be. To commit the changes, click ‘save’.
To delete the shape, click on the delete button. To commit the changes, click ‘save’.

To commit the impact, click ‘save project’.
To delete the impact, click on the trash can icon next to the impact.
Click save. This will save the project in the FWV.
