Queenstown Lakes District Council implemented the Forward Works Viewer earlier this year, and recently hosted a launch event to local organisations to explain what it’s all about and encourage use of the tool.
With a joint presentation by QLDC’s Property and Infrastructure team and Angus Bargh from the FWV team, over 50 people across a variety of sectors attended.
QLDC are providing the FWV to any developers, project managers, surveyors, planners, architectural designers, builders, roading, traffic management companies and event planners within the region. The aim is to share knowledge, work together and utilise resources to minimize disruption on the road network.
As the FWV provides a high level view of all projects happening within the region, it increases awareness and facilitates communication, and has already helped organisations collaborate and communicate – find out more here.
Over 130 people in the region have signed up to use the FWV – if you’d like to as well, click here.
